And We’re Off…
I had an awesome week of training in Athens – I did my first 25 hour week in I don’t know how long. I got a lot of riding in and a lot of solid work otherwise done. I’m happy about the trip.
The best part? I finally found out what it is to get stronger through training. Traditionally, I train hard, get tired, more tired, a lot more tired, then rest, rest, rest, and finally feel better after a certain amount of time. This go around, I felt better and better each day. It was really cool. I can say for sure that I’ve never felt so good at the end of a solid week of training.
I even got nine hours of sleep last night! It’s amazing. I haven’t gotten that much sleep in eons. It was like a rest day before I even woke up.
I’m excited to get back to Monroe this weekend. I’m minutes away from leaving on that eight hour journey. Ashley is heading up from New Orleans as well, so it’s going to be a happy intersection for us in about eight hours.
I guess I should get to driving. Monroe isn’t getting any closer.
